Health or Property Casualty Insurance Sales Producer

Sales oriented position requiring advanced communication skills, a thorough knowledge of insurance products available through the agency. Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing commercial accounts and retaining assigned book of business.

  • Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan
  • Prospect for new business from existing clients and identified target groups
  • Contact prospects for the purpose of providing consultative services and making sales appointments
  • Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products and records
  • Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history
  • Work with Account Manager or marketer to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information
  • Must be licensed per state requirements

EHS Risk Management
Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client services/interaction and interface
  • Jobsite visits and facility inspections (construction, manufacturing)
  • Training: Federal and state compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, DOL)
  • Interpreting regulations and advising
  • Program/policy development and implementation
  • Claim management (WC, Gl, Property)
  • Mod Management
  • Carrier interaction and interfacing on claims and loss control/ risk management issues
  • Working with sales staff in support role
  • Client service accountability
  • Worker’s Compensation interface with clients and claims staff
  • Support Risk Management division
  • Support Federal and state compliance
  • Be responsible for assigned accounts or territory
  • Must be able to complete risk assessments and analysis as required
  • Be accountable for task completion
  • Other duties as requiredQualifications:
  • Degree in safety (4-year preferred)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Familiarity with database systems
  • Solid oratory skills
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work alone
  • Involvement with boards and group management settings
  • Strong problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Familiarity with multiple industries preferred
  • Working knowledge of General Industry, Construction, EPA, and DOT
  • Proven program development and implementation
  • History of managing projects and follow through with acceptable outcomes
  • May be asked to work in inclement weather
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.- This position involves about 30-40% travel (locally—CT, MA, RI and NY).

    – Limited overnight travel (less than 5%). Same day travel 95%.

    – Working Hours: 8:30 AM -4:30 PM in office. Start and end time may flex depending on client needs.
